What is fat freezing, AKA cryolipolysis? How does it work? Is it safe? How much does it cost? How many sessions are needed? What should I expect from the treatment? There is so much buzz around this procedure, and for good reason. It works! Studies have shown fat freezing treatments effectively reduce fat cells in the area of treatment by 20-25%. It is non-invasive, non-surgical and in most cases results in little to no down time. Are you ready to get rid of stubborn pockets of fat that won’t go away no matter how much you diet and exercise? Cryolipolysis is the most effective body contouring solution for fat loss available.
How does Fat Freeze work?
Fat freeze (cryolipolysis) employs controlled cooling to permanently destroy fat cells. Adipocytes (fat cells) freeze at higher temperatures than surrounding tissue, which means the death of the fat cell can be caused by lowering the temperature to -11 degrees celsius without damaging the area around it. Fat Freeze safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. The treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen), and then die. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells. The result is a more sculpted version of you.
Is Fat Freeze safe?
Cryolipolysis is a safe and effective treatment for fat loss without the downtime of liposuction or surgery. There are minimal risks and little to no discomfort. Millions of people worldwide have safely benefited from this technology to eliminate stubborn, unwanted pockets of fat. It is not painful, though some people experience mild swelling, bruising, tenderness or numbness post procedure which usually dissipates in a few days.
How much does Fat Freeze cost?
Fat freezing treatments in our facility are charged by the cycle. A cycle is each time an applicator is attached to your body. A person receiving treatment may only need one cycle to treat small areas of stubborn fat, but in some cases multiple cycles are needed. Consultations are recommended to ascertain your goals and make suggestions to help you reach them. Our pricing structure is as follows:
1 cycle: $495
2 cycles $795
3 cycles $995
4 cycles $1195
How many sessions of Fat Freeze are needed?
The number of sessions required for treatment depends on how many areas of your body you would like to treat and how many cycles are needed to effectively reduce fat to the desired level. For example, if you have moderate amounts of belly fat and want to treat your entire abdomen, it could take up to 4 cycles on your first visit to reduce fat cells in the area of treatment by 20-25%. The applicator is applied to the bottom and the treatment is performed, allowing the machine to vacuum the subcutaneous fat into the cup before freezing it to the desired temperature. The process is then repeated on each side, as well as the top, totalling 4 cycles. After 8 weeks, should you wish to treat the area again to reduce fat cells by another 20-25%, an additional 4 cycles would be needed. By comparison, if you have a small pocket of stubborn fat in a small pouch at the bottom of your abdomen, this is often reduced to acceptable levels in 1-2 cycles.
What should I expect from the Fat Freeze treatment?
On the day of your treatment, if you have not received a thorough advance consultation, an assessment will be made to discuss your goals and recommend a treatment plan. After a determination is made on how to best treat your areas of concern, the applicator (or applicators if you are doing simultaneous cycles) is placed over a protective membrane which reduces any risk of discomfort or damage to your skin. When the machine is turned on, the powerful suction pulls the area into the device and the controlled cooling begins immediately. Most people feel pressure and a tingly, cooling sensation. Reports of pain are rare and the vacuum can be adjusted to your level of comfort. Now, it’s time to lie back and relax and let the technology get to work! It’s really that simple. After your treatment, your technician will remove the device and perform a brief, vigorous massage on the area. Many people report seeing a noticeable difference within the first week or two, but full results appear over the next 12 weeks as your body eliminates the frozen fat cells. Should you wish to have additional treatments, they can be safely performed after 8 weeks have passed.
